Aggregates allow natural water drainage (Porous System)
Since the gravel or aggregate is bound in resin it’s porous. That means the surface is SUDS compliant (Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems). The water drains through like a sieve and flows naturally into the water table. It’s an Eco friendly option and SUDS compliance means you are helping to reduce the risk of flooding, more so when used on projects that cover large areas.
The Environment Agency encourages resin bound surfaces to help tackle the growing threat of flooding in the UK. This is why it’s especially ideal for parks, play areas, large drives, paths and playgrounds.
Various Resin Bound systems are designed and manufactured to be permeable. This allows the system to be used in applications such as tree pits and with the SUDS building regulations.

Washed and Screened
To ensure continuous quality, materials must be selected from reliable and consistent quarries. Over the years our suppliers have pioneered the washing, drying, screening and bagging of aggregates to give a range of colours that meet the most demanding of customer’s requirements.
It is important that the products produced are carefully handled during the washing, blending and bagging process to minimise the attrition created when aggregates rub together which can cause a higher percentage of fines in the finished product. Their process is unique in removing more of the fines and dust than other plants can.
Dried
Pre-washed materials are dried in large batches, through rotary driers and then screened to provide superior clean dried aggregates fit for use straight away.
Can the system be laid in any weather?
If there is a possibility of rain or damp the products should not be laid. Variations in temperature and humidity can affect the application process.
Can the surface be cleaned?
One of the beauties of resin based surfaces are the extremely low maintenance properties. A gentle power wash is usually all that is required to clean the surface.
